April F. Cooper is a Christian wife, a mother to four children, and a daily grace recipient. With two master’s degrees, and a graduate certificate in pastoral counseling, her career as an educator spans many years. Additionally, she is the founder of a very small charity called “Lavender, Lilac and Lilies” that has given free floral arrangements, floral wreaths and small gifts as encouragement to those celebrating birthdays and milestones while living in shelters, senior centers, group homes, etc. Because of the pandemic, in-person deliveries came to a halt and the Lavender, Lilac and Lilies’ mission shifted to provide lavender-themed “welcome baskets” to those moving from homelessness to permanent housing, as well as lavender-themed care packages to women in shelters, etc.

April’s free time is typically spent with her family and doing floral designs, writing/reading, or dabbling in various types of crafts. Of course, you can find her – quite often – at the beach as well!

She firmly believes this book is a testament to what can happen when you wait on the Lord for direction. Each devotion in this book was a gift from God that April believes she was privileged to write.

You may read more written by April at A WORD For Women, a Bible-based Christian ministry for women, where she has written devotions and prayers (now located in the AW4W archives). She is also a contributing author of the Crowed: With Love and Compassion book.
